Kothagudem: Minister for Roads and Buildings Tummala Nageswara Rao said that two-lane roads would be laid in the interior areas and tribal villages. The Minister along with Mahabubabad MP Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and Ashwaraopet MLA Tati Venkateswalu inaugurated the bridge built across the Pamuleru and Sagivaku on Friday. This bridge reduces the distance between neighbouring Andhra Pradesh capital, Amaravati and Bhadrachalam, the Minister said.

Tummala added that construction of this bridge was put on hold for 20 years and tribals suffered a lot during medical and other emergencies. “The TRS government took initiative to resolve the issue and facilitate tribal people with road connectivity,” the Minister added. Kothagudem RDO Ravindranath, R&B EE Rajeswar Reddy, Palvoncha DSP Sinivasulu and others were also present.
