Officials told to adhere to guidelines strictly
District Collector DS Lokesh Kumar directed the officials of departments concerned to strictly adhere to the guidelines issued by the Central government during sanctioning permission for the establishment of temporary cracker shops on the occasion of Diwali.

The Collector chaired a meeting with the officials of various departments concerned to discuss the establishment of temporary cracker shops ahead of Diwali, at Pragna Conference Hall in Khammam on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, the Collector ordered the officials to take necessary steps for establishment of temporary cracker shops at Pavilion Grounds and in SR & BGNR Degree College grounds as per the guidelines issued by the Central government.
He also said the persons who were interested in establishing the crackers shop must apply for licence in Revenue Division Office on or before October 12, by paying Rs 300 through Demand Draft in the name of DAO of Revenue Division Office.
The Collector ordered the officials of Fire department to take immediate steps for giving permission to the applicants before October 10, who had applied through online for establishing of shops.
