Khammam: The State governmnet is extending a helping hand to the contractors and corporate companies and neglecting the welfare of the people, alleged district secretary of CPI Bagam Hemanth Rao.

Rao attended a meeting held with various peoples organisations under the leadership of Thati Venkateshwarlu here at CPI party office in Khammam on Monday.

Speaking at the meeting, Bagam said the ‘Porubata’ which was taken up by the CPI party in the name of ‘Samajika Telangana-Samagrabhivrudhi’ was going to reach Nelakondapalli on October 12 and would continue for three days covering several places in Khammam.

“CPI state secretary Chada Venkat Reddy, senior leaders Puvvada Nageshwar Rao and former MLA Kunamneni Sambashiva Rao are going to participate in a meeting that would be organised on October 27, in Khammam as part of Porubata,” he informed.

The CPI party had taken up Porubata to create awareness among the people about the anti-people policies adopted by the State government.

“Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao with his mesmerising words is diverting the public money and is deceiving the people of Telangana,” he alleged.

He urged all sections of people, to participate in Porubata to teach the government a fitting lesson.

The AITUC State Secretary Potu Prasad and the representatives of various peoples organisations were present along with others in the meeting.
