500 take Ayyappa Deeksha in Bhadrachalam

Bhadrachalam: About 500 devotees from Bhadrachalam, Manuguru, Dammugudem, Burgampahad and Kukkunuru took Ayyappa Deeksha at Ayyappa Swamy Temple here on Wednesday.
They performed special pujas on the occasion. Temple committee members Sathibabu, Uma, Eshwar and Srinivas said Annadanam (mass feeding) programme would be organised every Wednesday and invited devotees to participate in the programme.
A couple, Venkata Ratnam and Surya Kumari, belonging to temple town donated Rs 1,00,166 towards ‘Nitya Annadanam’ scheme of the Bhadradri temple here on Wednesday.
They handed over the donation money to temple supervisor Bhavani Shankar. Earlier, they had darshan of presiding deities of the temple.
