Call to sensitise adolescent girls on health issues

Wanaparthy: District Collector Sweta Mohanty has directed ASHA workers to sensitise girls in the age group of 10-19 on health problems encountered by them in the adolescence.
Speaking at a programme held here for 573 ASHA workers and 163 health activists, the Collector suggested focusing on nutritional deficiency and anaemia.
The trained workers should sensitise teenaged girls in villages on monthly periods, using toilets and so on, she said. District Medical and Health Officer Srinivasulu, and others took part in the programme.
