Vigilance Awareness Week is being celebrated until November 4, throughout the Singareni Collieries Company Ltd (SCCL). On Monday, the Board of Directors at a meeting in Hyderabad took a pledge to banish corruption in the organisation.
The directors resolved that while observing ‘Swachhata’ in all aspects they would respect all laws, oppose giving/accepting bribes and work sincerely while keeping people’s welfare in view.
They also undertook a pledge to work as models for others, while maintaining personal integrity.
The SCCL employees in the Hyderabad office also took a ‘Samagrata’ pledge to fight corruption. Those present included GM (Coordination) J Nagaiah.
He called upon the staff to strive unitedly for banishing graft, while stressing that the organisation would prosper only it gets rid of corruption.
Also present were GM (Finance & Accounts) G Venkataramana, AGM (Law) K Tirumala Rao, officials of various wings.
