Release funds for development of divisions, demands CPM
The Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPM) District leader Yerra Srinivas Rao demanded the government to release funds for the development of backward divisions that are present under Khammam Corporation Limits along with those villages which were newly merged.

A general body meeting held at under the leadership of the Sarangi Paparao here at 41 division office in Khammam on Monday.
Speaking at the meeting Y Srinivas Rao said the people are facing lot of hardships due to lack of proper roads and drains in Sundaraiahnagar and Srinivasnagar areas present under Khammam Corporation limits.
The Fire station at market area was constructed two years ago but there are no fire engines in the station. What is the use of such Fire station without fire engines, he questioned. In 2007 then government had sanctioned pattas to the poor people for construction of houses but so far, they are not allotted lands. The government must allot the lands immediately to them, he demanded.
He also demanded that the government should release funds for the construction of CC roads in the divisions which are lacking along with side drains and arrange fire engines to the Fire station which was constructed at Market area.
The CPM Leaders S K Emmanual, R Hanumanthu, Bejawada Chandrashekar, Sathis, M Srinivas, Pushpa, P Upendar, Eshwaramma, M Padma, Y Lingamma, Kumari Nagamani and Veeranna were present along with others.
