District Collector Dr A Sharath ordered the officials at a review meeting held on NREGS works at the conference hall of District and Rural Development Office here on Thursday.Speaking at the meeting, the Collector also ordered them to speed the works of updation under good governance parameter, information walls, establishing of work-site boards along with offer seeding and job cards updation 100 per cent without any delay under NREGS.
Take necessary steps for increasing labour report in the district. As per the set target of 16,500 farm ponds, about 168 farm ponds were completed till date in the district and about 607 are under different stages of development. Out of the set target of construction of 1,650 vermi compost pits in the district, 770 were completed till date and 401 are under progress, Sharath briefed.
The officials must speed up construction of soaking pits, dumping yards, toilets in government schools, sheds for sheep and goats, which were sanctioned under NREGS in the district. Joint Collector Rajesham, in-charge DRDO Musharaf Farooqi, Sub-Collector Gautam Patra, District Panchayat Raj Officer Venkateshwarlu, MPDO Lakshminarasimha, Sundar Varada Rajan and Guatham Patra were present along with others.
