3 of a family killed, 6 hurt in tractor mishap in Wanaparthy district
In a freak accident, three persons were killed and six others suffered grievous injuries when a tractor in which they were travelling turned turtle near Balepeer Dargah in Pangal mandal of Wanaparthy district on Thursday.
Wanaparthy: In a freak accident, three persons were killed and six others suffered grievous injuries when a tractor in which they were travelling turned turtle near Balepeer Dargah in Pangal mandal of Wanaparthy district on Thursday.
According to eye witnesses, the incident occurred when a family of eight persons were returning after offering prayers at the Balepeer Dargah. It is said that the driver of the tractor while manoeuvring a difficult terrain lost control over tractor which lead to overturning of the tractor engine along with the trolley in which the family members were travelling.
The tractor driver Tirupataiah (45) along with a girl Mounika (7) were trapped under the engine and trolley and were killed on the spot. Six others who were seriously injured were immediately rushed to Wanaparthy district Hospital. However, one more person Tirupatamma (35) succumbed to her injuries while undergoing treatment at the hospital.
