She conducted a special meeting with veterinary doctors and Assistant Directors of district Animal husbandry department, in Collectorate on Friday.

Addressing the officials, she expressed concern over distribution of only 6,200 units out of 16,000 sanctioned units in the district. She directed the officials to prepare a comprehensive plan to complete the distribution of pending 9,800 units. Irrespective of holidays and festivals, work regularly to achieve the goal, she instructed.

Suggesting the officials to upload the data and photos of distributed sheep units online immediately without fail, Ramachandran advised the officials to think about the possibility of other alternatives if sufficient sheep were not available.

“Maintain transparency while distributing the sheep units and put the district on top position by achieving the set target,” she added. District Animal Husbandry officer Madan Mohan and others attended the meeting.

In a separate meeting with Mandal Parishad Development Officers, Anita Ramachandran informed them that of the 587 sanctioned units to SC community in the district, subsidy for self-employment was released to 347 units. In this regard, she advised the officials to conduct melas across the district to provide self-employment to the eligible. SC Corporation ED Krishna Murthy and others attended the meeting.
