Nalgonda: BC Sankshema Sangham national president R Krishnaiah demanded the government to fill two lakh vacant posts in various government departments within three months, lest he threatened to launch an agitation along with unemployed youth, which he termed would be akin to Telangana statehood movement.

Addressing the gathering at the Nirudyoga Garjana meeting, organised by youth wing of BC Sankshema Sangham in Nalgonda on Tuesday, he said though the government carved 31 districts for easy administration and convenience of public, the empty chairs with insufficient staff mocking the visitors who visit the respective departments for their work. He advised the government to fill all vacant posts to serve the purpose of reorganisation of districts.

The Sangham chief further added that as per official information, as many as 2 lakh posts including 20,000 SI and Constables, 1,200 Group-1, 3,000 Group-2, 8,000 Group–3, 30,000 teacher posts, 40,000 technical and non-technical posts, 20,000 miscellaneous posts and 18,000 posts due to retirements have to be filled to overcome the staff crunch in the State.

Stating that the separate Telangana movement was started with an agenda of having own funds, water and jobs, he alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had forgotten people’s sacrifices, role of youth and promises made to youth during the agitation. The Sangham chief urged the government to fill all the vacant posts in government departments, otherwise under his leadership around 5 lakh jobless youth would lay siege to the Assembly during the Assembly sessions.

BC youth state president Neela Venkatesham, district president Duduku Laxminarayana, TDP state leaders Bollam Mallaiah Yadav, Madagoni Srinivas Goud, youth wing leaders Singam Laxminarayana, Gundu Venkateshwarlu, Shyam, Venkanna, Janardhan Goud and large number of unemployed youth attended the meeting.
