Suryapet: District Collector Surendra Mohan informed that as many as 5,000 units of loans were sanctioned to beneficiaries as per their wish so far in the district, and another 10,000 going to be sanctioned in 2018-19 financial year.

On Tuesday, DCC meeting with bank officials, people’s representatives and officials was held at Collectorate meeting hall. Addressing the gathering, the Collector ordered the officials to make necessary arrangements to conduct loan mela on February 15 and distribute loans worth 100 crore to the eligible.

Directing the officials to maintain transparency while selecting the beneficiaries, Surendra Mohan informed that bank managers who already achieved cent per cent target of loans grounding would be felicitated on Republic Day. He advised officials to provide loans to farmers and people practicing caste-based professions to strengthen the farming sector and rural economy in the district.

District Rural Development Officer Kiran Kumar, GM DIC Babu Rao, District Agriculture Officer Jyothirmai, NABARD AGM Dayaamrutha, ABI AGM KK Naidu and other bank officials attended the meeting.
