900 centres for Pulse Polio Immunisation programme
The Pulse Polio Immunisation programme will be held at 900 centres in the district said the District Immunisation Officer Dr Bhaskar Naik here on Wednesday. According to Dr Bhaskar Naik, a day before Pulse Polio that is on January 28, the Department will set up all the arrangements in the district. The programme will be held in three days that is on January 28, 29 and 30, he added.

He said that the programme would be conducted in all Primary Health Centres and Bus stands in the district. Dr Bhaskar informed that the 90 routes identified for the Rural Agency areas and 38 mobile teams are ready to participate in the programme, he added.
As many as 104 additional teams will work for the children of daily workers in all areas, he said. As many as 94,450 below five years children were identified in the district. Dr Bhaskar appealed to all the health centres, Asha workers, health workers and voluntary organisers to participate in the programme and make it a grand success.
