Doctors, officials told to promote institutional deliveries
State Medical and Health Department Director Vakati Karuna directed the doctors to instill confidence among people about the corporate-level treatment at the government hospitals.
Bhongir: State Medical and Health Department Director Vakati Karuna directed the doctors to instill confidence among people about the corporate-level treatment at the government hospitals. Karuna along with District Collector Anita Ramachandran conducted a review meeting with officials concerned on the functioning of the department in the district on Wednesday.
Addressing the officials, Karuna advised officials to take measures to improve institutional deliveries in government hospitals besides taking care of the mother and new born post delivery. Directing the officials to utilise services of 102 vehicles effectively by providing emergency services to the needy, she instructed the doctors and officials to make the 28th pulse polio programme a grand success.
The official further gave suggestions to DMHO officials about providing better services in government hospitals.District Medical and Health Officer Dr Sambashiva Rao, area hospital district coordinator Kotya Naik, doctors Suryaprakash, Kameshwari and others attended the meeting.
