On the eve of tribal deities Sammakka-Saralamma jatara, a large number of devotees from Kothagudem town and surrounding villages are heading towards Medaram on Tuesday.

Kothagudem: On the eve of tribal deities Sammakka-Saralamma jatara, a large number of devotees from Kothagudem town and surrounding villages are heading towards Medaram on Tuesday.

In the district, the roads are busy with the vehicles and devotees are going to witness tribal Maha jatara. The heavy traffic witnessed on the roads in the district in early hours of the day. The Maha Jathara will be held on January 31to February 3.

The Telangana State Road Transports Corporation (TSRTC) Khammam Region is running 400 additional buses for Madaram devotees. The Devotees took separate vehicles rather than RTC buses like bullock carts and tractors. The tribal devotees will stay at Medaram during the four days jatara. They will reach by January 31.

They will occupy the open place and raise the temporary sheds and makeshift kitchens. The police deployed for conducting smooth traffic on the national highways to hassle-free journey to Medaram.
