Kodad MLA begins padayatra for water to Mothey mandal
Kodad MLA Padmavathi with a demand of filling up of ponds of Mothey mandal in her constituency with Paleru and SRSP waters launched a padayatra in Mothey mandal on Monday.

Addressing the gathering on the occasion, the legislator informed that lift irrigation scheme was the only way to cater to the drinking and irrigation needs of people of mandal, and demanded the government to fulfill the aspirations of people of the region. She fired salvos on government for showing discrimination towards constituencies represented by opposition party leaders.
Her padayatra, which grabbed the attention of people of Kodad constituency and also Suryapet district, is going to conclude at Suryapet collectorate. Farmers, women, Congress party workers in large numbers participated in the padayatra and expressed their solidarity with her.
