Villagers suspect occult worships, police rule out

Suryapet: People of Kusmavarigudem were in for a shock when they found coconuts, lemons, eggs and chilies sprinkled with turmeric and vermillion placed in paper plates before six houses in the Thanda on Monday morning.

Villagers, fearing occult worships, informed the matter to local police. The police, who rushed to the village, ruled out occult worships and suspected that it could be an act of unknown miscreants to create tension in the village. Police counseled the villagers and informed them that culprits would be caught at the earliest.
