Khammam tops in completion of Mission Kakatiya works: Tummala
Roads and Buildings Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao stated that in implementation of Mission Kakatiya works, Khammam district stood in top position in three phases and with the same spirit, the officials must complete the works in time in the fourth phase.

The Minister laid foundation stones for the construction of 33/11 KV electricity sub-station, which is set to come up at a cost of Rs 1.5 crore, and for the construction of about 30 double bedroom houses at Lankasagar village besides laying of roads from Kotha Karaigudem to Patha Karaigudem of Penuballi mandal here in Khammam on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said the government was striving for the development of all mandals and districts in the State. As part of Mission Kakatiya, 14 lakes were restored at a cost of Rs 233.6 lakh for providing water to about 631 acres in Penuballi mandal.
The Minister ordered the officials concerned to take steps for issuing pensions to single women, aged and disabled without any hurdles
“Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had taken steps for sanctioning of Rs 4,000 per one acre of land and for two crops Rs 8,000 to the farmers. The government is striving to supply Godavari water to the people of the district through Sitarama Project.
Through Mission Bhagiratha project every household present in the Penuballi mandal will be supplied with pure drinking water,” assured the Minister. SC Corporation Chairman Pidamarthi Ravi, Zilla Parishad Chairperson Gadepalli Kavitha, DCCB Chairman Muvva Vijay Babu, R&B Superintending Engineer Narasimha Murthy, ZP Chief Executive Officer Marapaka Nagesh, Superintending Engineer of Irrigation department Dharma Naik, ATMA Committee Chairman Ajay and ZPTCs, MPPs were present along with others.
