The president of the organising committee of the ‘Bulls-Rock Pulling Competitions’ Gorla Bulli Babu said that national-level competitions of bull race would be held from March 1 to 3, as part of celebrations of Sri Venkateshwara Swamy Kalyanam, here at Kandukur village of Vemsoor mandal of Khammam district.

Khammam: The president of the organising committee of the ‘Bulls-Rock Pulling Competitions’ Gorla Bulli Babu said that national-level competitions of bull race would be held from March 1 to 3, as part of celebrations of Sri Venkateshwara Swamy Kalyanam, here at Kandukur village of Vemsoor mandal of Khammam district.

Around 40 pairs of Ongole breed bulls from both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh are going to participate in the competitions for senior and junior levels, for which all the necessary arrangements have been made, he informed.
The owners of bulls that win competitions would be given the prize money of Rs 4.5 lakh.

To motivate and encourage more and more people towards rearing of various kinds of domesticated animals, such type of events is conducted, he added. He thanked the former MP Nama Nageshwar Rao, Sattupalli MLA Sandra Venkata Veeraiah and TDP district vice-president Gorla Sanjeev Reddy for extending their support to the competitions.
