Srungeri Sharada Peethadipati Sri Vidhusekhara Bharati Mahaswami visited Gadwal on Friday. Welcoming him, Endowment Minister Indrakaran Reddy sought his blessings for all-round development of the State. “After formation of Telangana State, this was the first time we have had the pleasure of having the most famous Srungeri Peethadipati to our State. 

Gadwal: Srungeri Sharada Peethadipati Sri Vidhusekhara Bharati Mahaswami visited Gadwal on Friday. Welcoming him, Endowment Minister Indrakaran Reddy sought his blessings for all-round development of the State. “After formation of Telangana State, this was the first time we have had the pleasure of having the most famous Srungeri Peethadipati to our State.

We have sought his blessings for the fast development and welfare of all sections of the society in the newly formed State,” said the Minister. Later the Minister offered silk cloths to Swamyji and said the State government of would take every care for the successful tour of the swami in the State.

While enumerating the various initiatives taken up by the State government to improve and construct new temples in the State, the Endowment Minister said the State government had allocated more than Rs 250 crores for improvement of temples. Apart from developing major Yadagiri Gutta temple, the State government is also taking initiatives to improve the Vemulavada temple.

On the occasion, the Minister sanctioned Rs 10 lakhs for the development of a Shiva temple in Gadwal on the request of Sarpanch of Nendenna village.

Speaking on the occasion, Sri Vidusehkara Swami said as per the directions of his masters he has set out on a tour of both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh States to spread the values of Sanatana Hindu religion established by Jagat Guru Sankarachayra 1200 years ago.

He said Sharada Peetham was one of the 4 peetams established by the Jagat guru. He said that the Jagat guru had contributed to the upliftment and removal of inequality in the world.
