Kothagudem: All India Democratic Women Association (AIDWA) workers conducted a protest rally demanding protection of women’s rights here on Monday. Leaders of the association, speaking on the occasion, demanded that to the Central government introduce the women Bill in Parliament in the coming session.

They also sought implementation of 33% reservation to women in all public and private sector immediately. Activists and leaders of the association took out a big rally in the coal town, raising slogans seeking protection of women’s rights.

Later, they submitted a memorandum to the District Revenue Officer Kiran Kumar at the Collectorate. AIDWA district secretary M Jyothy, leaders S Laxmi, A Indira, Radha, Padma and others attended the programme.
