Congress leaders and workers on Tuesday conducted protest demonstrations in theerstwhile Nalgonda district against the suspension of party MLAs from the Assembly.

Nalgonda: Congress leaders and workers on Tuesday conducted protest demonstrations in theerstwhile Nalgonda district against the suspension of party MLAs from the Assembly.

As part of protest demonstration,the Congress workers burnt the effigy of Chief Minister KChandrashekar Rao and staged rasta rokos at Miryalaguda, Nakreakal, Kodad, Aler, Atamakur ,Bhongir, Choutuppal and other parts of the erstwhile Nalgonda district.

In Nalgonda, the police foiled the protest rally by the Congress workers and supporters of party leader Komatireddy Venkat Reddyfollowing his expulsion from the House.

As a part of preventive measure,thepolice tooka large number of party workersinto custody across the constituency and released them later in the evening.

After releas , Komatiredy supporters expressed their concern over the police action and questioned how they had permittedthe TRS workers to stage a protest demonstration against their leader Komatireddy Venkat Reddy in Nalgonda. DCC president Budiad Bixamaiah Goud condemned the suspension of congress MLAs and MLCs.
