Khammam: District Secretary of the District Youth Federation of India (DYFI) Shaik Basheeruddin has appealed to the youth to learn about the teachings of Karl Marx.
Under the leadership of Bhukya Upendar Naik, the representatives of the DYFI two town committee paid rich tributes to Karl Marx on his 135th death anniversary, here at local Library in Sundaraiah Bhavan on Wednesday.
Speaking on this occasion, Shaik Basheeruddin said Karl Marx had devoted his teachings for uplifting the poor and working class, besides protecting them from being robbed.
The Das Capital by Marx dealt with the law and application of economics in the modern society as a dynamic system and elaborated on the capitalist theory, labour value surplus, foreign trade and world market, he said.
Karl Marx was a great personality who sacrificed his life for the welfare of the working class. The youth of present generation should take inspiration from his works, he said.
DYFI leaders M Rambabu, K Giri, M Prabhakar, V Sambha, Mangesh, Shaik Saida, Kanna, Gopi, Praveen, Rajesh and Veerabhadram were present along with others.
