Khammam: State Convenor of the State Social Media Association Jagadish here on Thursday appealed to the people to highlight various kinds of people’s issues through social media platforms.
A workshop was organised for the representatives of the district unit of the Social Media Association here at Sundarayya Bhavan.
Speaking on the occasion, Jagadish said the social media is the best platform to take various people’s issues to the notice of local MLA and to the officials concerned.
The Social media platforms such as whatsApp and Facebook are being widely used by different sections of people, including officials and leaders. By highlighting any people issue by posting in WhatsApp and Facebook platforms, it is possible to elicit response from the leaders or officials concerned, he felt.
He advised the activists not to post any derogatory comments against any persons or any party or any official. Such comments would create problems. Social media must be used only to highlight various kinds of problems being faced by the people. It should not be used to defame others.
Releasing a poster, he urged the representatives of various people’s organisations along with association members to participate in large numbers in State-level workshop, to be held on March 20 at Sundarayya Vignana Kendram in Hyderabad and make it a grand success.
Rresentatives of district Social Media unit Y Vikram, Basheer, Nagaraju, Ramesh, Madhu, Hanumanth Rao, Venkata Narayana, Roshini, Naveen Reddy, Prakash, Lingaiah and Mallamma were present along with others.
