After a long wait of more than two years, Mahbubnagar district has finally completed the construction of central lighting system on the main of ward 37 connecting National Highway 167 passing through the district, on Friday.
Mahbubnagar: After a long wait of more than two years, Mahbubnagar district has finally completed the construction of central lighting system on the main of ward 37 connecting National Highway 167 passing through the district, on Friday.
While inaugurating the central lighting system, local MLA Srinivas Goud said the State government is giving highest priority for urban development and providing all facilities like development of road crossings and junctions, laying of CC and BT roads, construction of drainages and installation of central lighting system in each and every street and colony in the district.
“Earlier the previous leaders of Congress in erstwhile united Andhra Pradesh had predicted that Telangana would be completely would slip in darkness with no power supply. However, the after formation of Telangana, Chief Minister K.Chandrashekar Rao took it as a challenge and ensured 24- hour power supply in the State and the farming sector is getting free power supply which nobody could have ever imagined,” said Srinivas Goud.
The MLA said his major aim is to illuminate the entire Mahbubnagar district with LED lights, and ensure that all the major junctions in the district get beautified. “By setting up LED central lighting system and lighting each and every nook and corner of the distinct with LED lights we want to make sure there is no difference between day and night.
As the district is soon getting an IT corridor we are taking up the beautification works in the Mahbubnagar district and focusing on providing necessary basic amenities and planning to complete all the development works in the stipulated time frame and will completely change the entire face of the district,” said the MLA.
For setting up the central LED lighting system in ward number 37 the state government had sanctioned Rs. 34 lakhs. The MLA while inaugurating the central lighting system expressed his happiness for completing the works in the targeted period and he also ensured that all the other ongoing works of installation of lighting systems in other parts of the district also gets completed in the targeted period and ensure that Mahbubnagar gets 100 per cent LED lights.
Radha Amar, Municipal Chairperson Mahabubnagar, Ramulu, Vice Chairman Mahabubnagar Municipality, Krishna Mohan, Councillor of Ward number 37, Ramana Murthy Executive Engineer Public Health, Satyanarayana Executive Engineer Mahabubnagar Municipality and other concerned officers took part in the central in the programme.
