Ganja peddler held during cordon & search operation in Choutuppal
District police during cordon and search operation at Shivaji Nagar in Choutuppal mandal on early hours of Tuesday took four suspects into their custody and arrested one person besides recovering half-a-kg of Ganja from his possession. Cops also seized 43 bikes, two auto-rickshaws and one car as the owners failed to valid vehicle registration papers.
Choutuppal: District police during cordon and search operation at Shivaji Nagar in Choutuppal mandal on early hours of Tuesday took four suspects into their custody and arrested one person besides recovering half-a-kg of Ganja from his possession. Cops also seized 43 bikes, two auto-rickshaws and one car as the owners failed to valid vehicle registration papers.
Under the leadership of district DCP Ramachandra Reddy, two Assistant Commissioners of Police, five Circle Inspectors, 23 Sub Inspectors and 150 police personnel including women police carried out the cordon and search operation.
The police checked every house in the Colony and verified the identity of persons working and staying in them. Similarly, Suryapet police seized 40 bikes and five gas cylinders during cordon and search operation conducted at Annadurai Nagar in Suryapet town on Tuesday early hours.
Under the supervision of SP Prakash Jadav, Suryapet DSP, three Circle Inspectors, 12 Sub Inspectors, two special party police and 120 police personnel, including 12 women and 35-newly recruited police, carried out the cordon and search operation.
The police checked every house in the Colony and verified the identity of persons working and staying in them. Police also verified the thumb impressions of suspicious persons by using FINS device to identify old offenders recorded in police data bank.
