Fisheries to get a big boos in Bhongir dist
Assistant Director of Fisheries Sukeerthi said a comprehensive fisheries development programme would be implemented in Yadadri –Bhongir district with an investment of Rs 25 crores.The Assistant Director said the State government had launched the programme to improve the living standards of the farmers.

Under the programme, nets for fish hunting, crafts, two –wheelers, luggage auto-rickshaws and cold storage boxes would be provided to the selected fishermen at 75 per cent subsidy. In addition to this, 100 per cent subsidy would be provided for the construction of wholesale fish markets and 75 per cent subsidy to set up feeding manufacturing units, ice plants, processing units and fish seedlings, she added.
The State government has sanctioned Rs 25 crore to the district under comprehensive fisheries development programme, she added. The members of the fisheries cooperative society are eligible to apply for the facility, she said.
