Kothagudem: District Collector Rajiv Gandhi Hanumanthu ordered the revenue officials to allot double bedrooms houses for all the eligible living in the district.

After attending the Grievance Day at the Collectorate here on Monday, the Collector addressed the district officials. He told them to prepare a list of all the persons, who are eligible for double bedroom houses, in their respective mandals. He directed the engineers to speed up the construction works of the 2BHK houses.

Reviewing Swatchh Bharat at the meeting, Hanumanthu enquired the work details and how far the people were motivated in this scheme. The officials, working under this scheme, were told to motivate people towards the construction of individual toilets in their houses, to make the scheme successful in the district.

The Collector gone through the applications of previous Grievance Day and discussed about the pending ones with the officials. They were ordered to clear all the pending applications before the next Grievance Day.On the day, officials received more applications for allotment of double bedroom houses.

The Grievance Day witnessed heavy rush of people trying to submit their applications to the Collector.Joint Collector M RamKishan, District Revenue Officer Kiran Kumar, District Rural Development Project Director P Jagath Kumar Reddy, Revenue Divisional Officer Ravindernath and other officers attended the Grievance Day.
