Complete works ontime or face action: Suryapet Collector to officials

Suryapet: District Collector Surendra Mohan on Tuesday directed the officials to to speed up the works of Mission Baghiratha in the district.

The Collector along with Engineer-in –Chief Surender Reddy held a review meeting with officials on the status of Mission Bagiratha works in the district in Suryapet.

Addressing the officials, the Collector directed the officials to engage more labourers to speed up the works.

He instructed the officials to complete the pipeline, head works and OHR tanks of Suryapet town to provide water to every household in Suryapet municipal limits by May 5.

He warned the officials of action if they failed to complete the works on schedule. He also instructed the officials to complete the pipeline works at Avanthipuram, Chillakallu and Chityala in the district at the earliest.

Engineer-in –Chief Surrender Reddy expressed his displeasure over the apathy of officials and blamed them for delay in executing the works of Mission Bagiratha in the district. He asked officials to change their mindset and complete the works in time to avoid departmental action

Mission Bagiratha chief Engineer Madhu Babu, Executive Engineers Venkateshwarlu, Mohan Reddy, Divisional Engineers, Assistant Engineers and representatives of GVPR organisation participated.
