Suryapet: Minister for Energy G Jagadish Reddy here on Monday said the State government is committed for the development of Scheduled Tribes in the State.
He was laying foundation stones for the construction of roads from Chivemla to Raju Thanda via Pandya Naik Thanda covering 3.5 km, VK Pahad to Polimera Thanda via Pashya Naik Thanda upto Badya Thanda covering 3.5 km and VK Pahad to Jagan Naik Thanda via Mangali thanda, Valya thanda and Bukya Thanda covering 5.5 km. All are BT roads, being constructed at the total cost of Rs 7.30 lakh.
Speaking on this occasion, the Minister said the governments in the united Andhra Pradesh had completely neglected the development of the villages in the State. The TRS government is taking all steps for the development of villages.
He urged the people belonging to the Scheduled Tribes to utilise the welfare schemes launched the State government for their development.
In the programme, MP Badugula Lingaiah Yadav, Market Committee Chairman Y Venkateshwarlu, Sarpanch Suhasini Panchayath Raj Department EE Sangameshwar, DE Krishnamurthy and others participated.
