Nalgonda/ Suryapet/ Yadadri-Bhongir: May Day was celebrated on a grand scale by working classes by hoisting red and trade unions flags. A number of rallies and meetings were organised on the occasion and flags. The trade unions affiliated to different political parties including the left , ultra- left , centrist and right wing parties participated in the celebrations with great enthusiasm.
After unfurling the red flags at CPI and CPM offices in Nalgonda, Suryapet and Yadadri-Bhongir districts, the leaders of the parties said that the ruling classes were ruling the government by driving a wedgebetween the people in the name of caste and religion. They said that May Day celebrations were a great source of inspiration in several countries which resulted in the formation of revolutionary governments after overthrowing repressive regimes.
Launching a blistering attack on the BJP led NDA government, the leftist leaders said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi was protecting the interest of corporate companies and bank looters. Commenting on state government, they came down heavily on Chief minister KChandrashekar Rao for implementing anti-farmer and anti-people’s policies.
