New sports school on the anvil at Jadcherla, says Health Minister
Health Minister Dr C Laxma Reddy said that the State government was planning to start a sports school in Jadcherla mandal of Mahabubnagar district from the coming academic year.
Mahabubnagar: Health Minister Dr C Laxma Reddy said that the State government was planning to start a sports school in Jadcherla mandal of Mahabubnagar district from the coming academic year.
While taking part in the Labour Day programme in Jadcherla on Tuesday, the Health Minister Dr. C Laxma Reddy said that the school would enrol about 80 students in 4th and 5th classes in the sports school initially.
“We have decided to begin a sports school from this academic year, wherein, the intake will be 80 students in the 4th and 5th classes. At present, we are searching for a suitable temporary building to start the school,” the Minister added.
The main objective of starting an exclusive sports school was to train the students who were interested in sports, right from the beginning and ensure that the students from the rural areas also excel in sports and athletics at national and international levels.
