The cheques of Rythu Bandhu Scheme will be distributed from May 10 to 16 in the State, informed Roads and Building Minister Tummala Nageshwara Rao. He told the members that the Rythu Bandhu Scheme is an investment subsidy only and the government will give an investment subsidy Rs 4,000 per acre to farmers under this scheme. Cheques and pattadar passbooks will be distributed to the farmers during grama sabhas held in villages across the district.

Banks will give the cheques to those farmers, who didn’t get them during grama sabha, he added. Khammam MP Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy said that the TRS government stood as a role model for other states in implementing welfare schemes. He asked the members of Rythu Samanvaya Committee to give wide publicity about the welfare schemes in all villages.

Earlier the Minster showed new pattadar passbooks that are ready for distribution under the scheme. After the meeting, Tummala distributed cheques to the sarpanches of villages that were declared as Open Defecation Free (ODF) village under Swachh Bharath scheme.

District Collector Rajiv Gandhi Hanumanthu, Joint Collector M Ramkishan, ZP Chairperson Kavitha, MLAs Jalagam Venkat Rao, Tati Venkateswarlu, Kanakaiah and agricultural officers attended the programme.
