Presiding over a review meeting with Tahsildars, officials of Agriculture and Revenue departments and with bankers here at the Collectorate in the town the Collector ordered the officials to convey the schedule to the local representatives and to the MP, MLA’s, MLC’s along with the members of Farmer Coordination Committee’s inviting them to the distribution programme of RBS cheques and passbooks which is going to be held from May 10th to 17th.

For every three hundred members open one counter for the convenience of the farmers who are going to receive the cheques and pass books under RBS scheme. Arrange safe drinking water along with establishing temporary tents for shade by appointing one grievance officer for every counter, ordered the Collector.

Pass the information to the farmers one day in advance by giving wide publicity in all the villages and making tight security arrangements to prevent any untoward incidents. One Agriculture department officer, one Revenue officer and a representative from the bank must be deployed at every distribution centre, ordered the Collector.

He said that a report must be submitted everyday to the concerned higher officials updating the details. The bankers must utilise the funds that were allotted for distribution of cheques for RBS scheme only. A control room would be established in the collectorate for clearing the doubts if any, added the Collector.

District Agriculture Officer Jhansi Lakshmi Kumari, Lead Bank Manager Savyasachi Jain, Revenue Divisional Officer of Khammam T Purnachandra, Kallur Revenue Divisional Officer Naga Mahalakshmi, in-charge District Revenue Officer Madan Gopal, Tahsildars, district and mandal level Agriculture officials were present on the occasion.
