CPM stages novel protest

​Bhadrachalam: CPM leaders and activists staged a novel protest here on Tuesday to vent their ire against the hike in petrol prices. They pulled autos with ropes on the roads in the temple town.

Later speaking with the media, party State leader AJ Ramesh said the BJP government at the Centre has increased the petrol prices to a record high within a span of four years.

The common people, who are bearing the brunt of high prices of petrol, are vexed with the Central government’s policies and will reject the BJP in the coming up elections, he stated. Party leaders Brahma Chary, MB Narsa Reddy, Bandaru Sarath Babu and others participated in the protest.
