The police seized 22 bikes which lacked proper documents and also took 12 persons into custody for interrogation.

The cordon and search operation was conducted by more than 100 police personals under the supervision of B Anuradha, Superintendent of Police, Mahbubnagar and Bhaskar, Deputy Superintend of Police.

“As rumours are doing rounds in the district, we have decided to intensify our cordon and search drive in the district and instil confidence among the public that the police are keeping a vigil. Some of the areas in Jadcherla are found to be insecure as there have been frequent incidents of robbery, burglary and attacks on innocent persons. So, the police have taken up to conduct cordon and search in all the suspicious and problematic areas in the district. We will not spare anyone who is involved in criminal activities,” said the SP.

As part of cordon and search operation, the SP also conducted an awareness programme and advised the people not to get panicked. She said the police are working round-the-clock for the security and safety of the people in the district.

The police identified around 12 persons and their fingerprints were taken. “We have been getting reports that some innocent persons like beggars, scavengers and mentally ill people have become victim of the canards spread by some unscrupulous people. I am once again advising the people not to take law into your hands, the repercussions will be serious. Please inform to the police and the police will handle it,” noted the SP.
