Police dismiss rumours of gangs on prowl

In a statement here, the Police Commissioner dismissed the rumours that the gangs were on the prowl in the district, kidnapping the children. He also denied that miscreants had entered the district to burgle the houses.
Tafseer Iqbal assured the people that special Blue Colt teams have been deployed to provide security round-the-clock. The Blue Clot police are armed with weapons, he said.
He appealed the people to dial 100 if they found any suspicious person moving in their surroundings. The Police Commissioner also warned rumour-mongers of stern action.
