Gadwal: Though the State government has launched the prestigious Rythu Bhandu scheme to provide financial assistance farmers, it seems it has opened up a pandora’s box. The scheme which is aimed at providing crop investment assistance of Rs 4,000 per acre per two crops in a year.

However, numerous errors in Pattadar passbooks forced several farmers to throng the District Collector’s office with their grievances on Monday during the grievance redressal programme Prajavani.

As many as 82 farmers represented their grievances to in-charge Joint Collector D Venugopal and sought his intervention in rectifying the errors in their passbook. The Joint Collector gave assurances to the grieving famers that all their problems would be sorted out soon.

However, those farmers having problems at Part 8 in the passbook need to give their complaints to the concerned tahasildars in their respective mandals and all those issues would be sorted out before June 10. “As many farmers are coming up with their grievances including error correction in their land passbooks, we are working on the same.

All those farmers having wrong details in their passbooks need to represent to their concerned tahasildars who have been directed to resolve all land-related issue before 10 June,” said D Venugopal.
