MRPS slams BJP for trying dilute SC, ST Act
Manda Krishna Madiga, president of Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi (MRPS), has alleged that the Central government led by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), is trying to dilute the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocity Act) by taking advantage of the Supreme Court verdict on the Act.

Krishna Madiga, while taking part at a ‘SC-ST Shimha Garjana’ programme in Narayanpet on Thursday, said the SCs and STs had been deprived of their rights in education, employment and political power for centuries. They were suppressed by zamindars and upper caste people.
The BJP, which was wedded to the RSS ideology, was trying to dilute the SC, ST Act. “We will fight to the end to protect our rights and will never give up until we protect our communities of their just rights. SCs and STs must get united and fight to check the evil designs of the government,” said the MRPS president.
