Khammam: Police Commissioner Tafseer Iqbal here on Wednesday assured the police personnel that all measures were taken to ensure their welfare. He directed the officials to increase loan amount from RS 1 lakh to Rs 2 lakh under the Police Cooperative Society.

A meeting was held under the leadership of District Police Association President Srinivas to discuss the implementation of various welfare schemes to the police personnel.

After discussing about various issues, the Police Commissioner responded positively ordered the officials to take all the necessary steps for the welfare of the police personnel. He also assured the personnel that he would look into the matter of handling over Rs 10,000 to the family members of the police personnel who die while discharging their duties from the Unit Flag Fund.

He asked the personnel, attached to headquarters, to discharge their duties for coming up three months in the Police headquarters only. Later, he met the family members of police personnel, who died while discharging their duties and assured them of all help.

Additional Divisional Commissioner of Police K Suresh Kumar, Armed Reserve Force Assistant Commissioner of Police Venkateshwarlu and Vijay Babu, Town Assistant Commissioner of Police Venkatrao, Reserve Inspector Madan Moham, Nageshwar Rao, Police Association members Yesubabu, Jhony Miya, Soukat Ali, Mohan Rao and Jyothi were present.
