Bhadrachalam: The Congress party will come to power in 2019 elections and initiate an inquiry into the corruption of the TRS government, party’s legislative deputy leader in the State Legislative Council P Sudhaker Reddy said here on Friday.

Addressing a press conference, Sudhakar Reddy said the people of Telangana are not believing Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s promises any more. In four years of the TRS government, corruption has been increasing day by day in all departments.

He alleges huge corruption in implementation of all schemes launched by the TRS government. Therefore, when the Congress party comes to power it would initiate an inquiry into the implementation of all schemes by the TRS government .

The Congress leader alleged that the Rythu Bandhu scheme is being misused in the state and causing heavy losses to the farmers due to the mistakes in the scheme. He demanded the TRS government to give better price for the farmers’ crop.

He recalled the implemented schemes by the Congress government. How the farmers were happy in those days. It had introduced more schemes for the farmers, he said and added that the present government issued the Podu Pattas to the podu farmers in the state.

He also mentioned how the temple town Bhadrachalam suffered losses due to the merger of its five mandals and five panchayats with Andhra Pradesh after the state bifurcation. He appealed to both the Chief Ministers to protect the temple town of Bhadrachalam and develop it. He appealed to the Andhra Pradesh Government to return five merged panchyats immediately.

He stated also demanded the government to reduce the Polavaram project height for the protection of Bharachachalm and save the tribal culture. He said Chief Minister K.Chandra Sekhar Rao is making wrong statements about the development of the Bhadradri temple.

In four years the Telananga Government did not release a single rupee for the development of the temple town. He said the Chief Minster is trying to influence the people of the state only through his speeches.

He questioned the Chief Minister why he has not released the funds of Rs. 100 core for the development of the historical holy place Bhadrachalam? Why did you mention that in the budget and did not tell the truth to the Lord Rama devotees?

The Congress leader also demanded the government to implement the State Bifurcation Act immediately in the state. Congress party senior leaders Bollisetty Ranga Rao, Bogala Srinivas Reddy, Ravi Kumar and other leaders attended the meeting. Early in the day, Sudhaker Reddy visited the temple and offered pujas.
