Khammam: Congress leaders paid rich tributes to Babu Ja death anniversary of Babu Jagjivanram here on Friday. Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) Working President and Madhira MLA Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka offered floral tributes to the portrait of Babu Jagjivanram at Sanjeeva Reddy Bhavan here.
Speaking on the occasion, Bhatti Vikramarka said Babu Jagjivanram strived for upliftment of the weaker sections. Babu Jagjivan Ram was one of the great leaders who fought for the betterment of Dalits and Tribal people. He remained an inspiration to entire Dalit community, he added. He urged the Congress party leaders and activists to draw inspiration from him and work hard for strengthening the party.
Congress party officials spokesperson Puvvalla Durga Prasad, Md Tajuddin, Potla Nageshwar Rao, Yerram Bala Gangadhar Tilak, Chota Baba, Pratap Rudra, K Venkatanarayana, B Venkanna, M Shekar Goud, A Ramaiah, Y Srinivas, K Venkataramana, Md Isaac, S Chandram, Abbas Baig, S Narasimha Rao, Bukya Ramdasu and G Venkataiah were present at the programme.
