Vijayawada: Krishna district stood first in the intermediate second year results for 2012-13 released by Minister for Secondary Education K P Saradhi in Hyderabad on Friday. In the results, the Krishna district topped with 77 per cent.

Speaking on the occasion, Intermediate Board Regional Inspection Officer K Venkataramayya felt happy with the performance of students and said that a total of 60,960 students appeared for the examinations from Krishna district and of them, as many as 46,647students passed.

The girls once again performed well and stood first with 79 per cent. Similarly, the boys pass percentage was 75per cent, he said. The Government college students too excelled this time with more than 70.40 pass percentage. Schedule for instant examinations will be announced soon, he said.

NRI, SrimedhaVA students excelled NRI Academy Dean Dr K Rama Rao congratulated their Academy students for securing the top marks in the inter second year results released on Friday. NRI Academy students Nagendhra Pavan secured 985 marks against 1000 in MPC, G S Jaya Srinivas of BiPC got 986 marks against 1000 and Kavya Sri of MEC scored 969 marks out of 1000.

Similarly, Srimedhav students P Jayasri and M Phanish Reddy secured 978 marks out of 1000 in MEC and stood the top. On the occasion, Directors of SrimedhaV Srinivasu and Kuppuswami congratulated the students and faculty members for the success.
