Priority to infrastructure in schools: TGV

Kurnool : All schools in the State were being provided with basic infrastructure like additional classrooms, toilets, drinking water and others in addition to the free textbooks and uniform for the students of all government schools, Minister for Minor Irrigation T G Venkatesh said here on Sunday. He was the chief guest at the distribution of textbooks and notebooks to the students of Town Model High School here.

He appealed to the students to study hard and achieve greater heights in life. The minister said that students of all schools in the State would be provided with textbooks in ten days. He appealed to the parents and students to bring to his notice if any teacher was not teaching lessons in the government schools. The minister complimented the teachers and the students for achieving the seventh place in the State as against the 22nd place last year by securing better results in the tenth class examinations.

District Collector C Sudarsan Reddy, DEO Nageswara Rao, MLC Sudhakar Babu, Deputy DEO Sailaja and school teachers were present.
