Telugu Desam victory imminent : Somisetty

Telugu Desam party would win with a thumping majority in the forthcoming elections to the local bodies, district TDP president Somisetty Venkateswarlu said here on Thursday. Talking to newsmen, Somisetty appealed to the people to teach a fitting lesson to the corrupt political parties and support TDP for a clean government in the State.

He said that the Congress party was steeped in corruption and failed on all fronts to solve the problems of people. "People are looking forward for a stable government which provides corrupt-free service to them," he added. He said that the Congress which claims to be farmers' party was not in a position to protect farmers from the fake seeds. "Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy dismissed his foes from the Cabinet but was supporting the tainted ministers," he remarked.

Somisetty appealed to the party workers to strive hard for the victory of Telugu Desam in the local body elections. "The leaders should work hard for securing victory in their respective constituencies," he added.

He said that there would be recognition for the workers who work hard for the party. Referring to the strategy, he said that committees should be formed in all constituencies for the victory in the elections. The district unit president said that he would visit all the constituencies from Friday to enthuse the party workers. Vishnuvardhan Reddy, Hanumanta Rao Chowdary and others were present.
