Praja Garjana : Will Fight Tooth And Nail. Ashok Babu, the president of Samaikya Rashtra Parirakshana Vedika, vowed here on Sunday to stop the resolution on Telangana even by mounting pressure on the Members of Parliament of Seemandhra region to block the passage of T bill.
Refuting the allegations that the Telangana was exploited, he expressed readiness for a debate over the issue. “During the last 20 years all the constructions in the twin cities were taken up with the sand from Krishna district,” he said in the regard. He said that not a single rupee was taken out from Hyderabad to Seemandhra area, but all resources were transferred from Seemandhra to Hyderabad.
Ashok Babu pointed out that the Hyderabad city was being illuminated by the power from Vijayawada Thermal Power Station. “One hour power supplied to Hyderabad city could be used for providing power supply for 12 hours to Seemandhra,” he remarked. He said that none knew who Dhoni was till he hit the first century and likewise none knew about him. Hyderabad city has been utilizing 18 tmc water without any permissions, he pointed out.
Reacting to the remarks by KCR against him, he said that he was keeping patience since Seemandhra people wanted to be united. “We are civilized enough to keep quiet even if footwear was thrown at us and do they have that quality,” he wondered. He made it clear that he was not interested in politics but only interested in united Andhra Pradesh. We believe in non-violence and that is why we are agitating peacefully, he said. It was not right on the part of separatists to pass demeaning remarks against integrationists, he said. The separatists have been making provocative speeches since there was no strength in their argument, he said. “The separatists should remember that there were not only tigers in Nallamala forest but there are also goats which chase away the tigers,” he said.
It is true to suggest that Telangana culture was degraded by Seemandhra people, he said and added that it was Andhra leaders were bringing disrepute to the Telangana culture with their separatist argument.
