3 MLC seats increased in Telangana

The MLC seats in Telangana has been increased to 14. The Central Government on Tuesday issued orders to increase three MLC seats in the state. All the three new seats have come up in Mahbubnagar, Rangareddy and Karimnagar districts under the local body quota. A notification to conduct elections to these seats is likely to be announced soon.

Eight MLC seats will be increased in AP. After bifurcation, Andhra Pradesh is left with 50 seats and it can be increased to 58 as per the constitutional law.
