A Contempt petition was filed against Telangana Legislative Assembly Speaker S Madhusudhana Chary by Congress party MLAs Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and Sampath Kumar in the Hyderabad High Court on Tuesday. 

A Contempt petition was filed against Telangana Legislative Assembly Speaker S Madhusudhana Chary by Congress party MLAs Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and Sampath Kumar in the Hyderabad High Court on Tuesday.

The two leaders were earlier expelled from the house by the speaker for disrupting the proceedings of the house. Also, Mr Komatireddy flung his headphones at the Speaker instead injured Legislative Council chairperson Swamy Goud.

Following this, the two MLAs moved the High Court against their expulsion, to which the court ruled in their favour and directed the speaker to restore the MLAs their membership in the Assembly.

However, the two leaders stated that since the Assembly has not yet restored their membership, they filed a contempt petition.
