Telangana witnessed moderate showers during the last 24 hours as the monsoon remained active in parts of the state dropping the temperatures. Medak recorded 67 mm of heavy rain, Hanamkonda 16.2 mm of rain and Ramagundam 5.2 mm of rains in the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, Hyderabad remained dry. As per the weather department, light to moderate rains is expected to continue over the state for another 24 hours. Places such as Ramagundam, Medek, Nalgonda, Nizamabad, and Adilabad are likely to witness light to moderate rains with even Hyderabad having a chance of Monsoon rain.

However, once the spell is over, the intensity is likely to reduce over the state with an exception of few places. The temperature is also likely to increase after 24 hours. The Monsoon is anticipated to become active once again around June 26 and the cyclonic circulation, likely to form along the Andhra Pradesh coast is expected to move in a westerly direction leading to increasing in rains in Telangana.
