Mother and child found hanging in Hyderabad; family disputes suspected

A 28-year-old woman and her five-year-old daughter were found hanging in their house in Hyderabad on Tuesday. The victims, identified as Anitha and Lucky are suspected to have committed suicide by hanging.

The incident took place at Bowrampet in Quthbullapurmet.

According to the police, the neighbours found the mother and child hanging from the ceiling of the house.

While the reason behind the suicide is not known as of yet, the police suspect family problems might have led to the suicide. Anitha, married to Srinivas, a truck driver is suspected to have first hanged her daughter before hanging herself.

A case has been booked in this regard. Further details are awaited.
